Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using SalaryLabs ("the Site"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use this site.
Informational Purpose Only
SalaryLabs provides salary and payroll calculators for informational and educational purposes only. The results produced by our calculators are estimates based on the inputs you provide and general tax formulas. They should not be relied upon as professional financial, tax, or legal advice.
Tax laws change regularly. For accurate and personalized financial guidance, please consult a licensed tax professional, financial advisor, or CPA.
Calculator Scope and Limits
Our tools are designed for common US worker questions such as gross-to-net estimates, salary-to-hourly conversion, overtime scenarios, tax withholding context, and salary benchmarking. They may not account for every credit, pre-tax deduction, local tax, employer benefit, non-wage income source, or state-specific rule. The relevant tool page and Methodology explain the main assumptions.
Federal tax brackets, FICA wage bases, FLSA thresholds, and state rate references reflect data published by the IRS, SSA, BLS, and US Department of Labor at the time of each tool's last review. When upstream figures change between reviews, the displayed value can be temporarily out of date until the next update reflected in the relevant page and our Methodology notes.
No Warranties
SalaryLabs is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. While we strive for accuracy, we make no guarantees that calculator results are correct, complete, or current. We are not liable for any financial decisions made based on information from this site.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SalaryLabs and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the site, including but not limited to: incorrect tax filings made in reliance on calculator output, employment offer decisions based on benchmark estimates, payroll disputes pursued or dropped because of a guide interpretation, or budget projections built on stale data.
Total cumulative liability for any claim related to use of SalaryLabs is limited to the amount paid to use the site, which is zero because all tools and guides are free. Before filing a tax return, signing an offer letter, or initiating a wage dispute, validate the relevant numbers with a licensed professional or the official primary source.
Privacy and Advertising
Core calculations run in your browser, and SalaryLabs is not designed to collect or store the salary values you enter into calculators. The site uses limited analytics as described in our Privacy Policy. SalaryLabs has applied to Google AdSense, but ads are not currently active and the site earns no AdSense revenue. If advertising is activated in the future, it will not change calculator formulas or editorial conclusions. The boundary between editorial content and paid placements is documented in the Editorial Policy.
Intellectual Property
All content, design, and code on SalaryLabs is the property of SalaryLabs and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce or redistribute content without permission. Linking to a SalaryLabs page is welcome and does not require notice. Wholesale reproduction of guides, reuse of calculator logic in derivative tools, or systematic scraping requires written permission.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the site for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to disrupt or interfere with site functionality
- Scrape or systematically download site content without permission
- Present calculator output as certified professional financial, tax, or legal advice
- Misrepresent SalaryLabs guides as official guidance from the IRS, SSA, BLS, or DOL
Audience and Jurisdiction
SalaryLabs tools and guides are written for workers in the United States, using US federal and state tax framework references. If you access the site from another country, calculators may not reflect your legal framework. Disputes arising from use of SalaryLabs are governed by the laws applicable to the site operator, without prejudice to consumer rights that apply in your jurisdiction.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. The last revision date appears at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. When a change materially affects how user data is handled, the change will also be reflected in the Privacy Policy.
