SalaryLabs ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information when you use salarylabs.site (the "Site").

1. Information We Do NOT Collect

SalaryLabs calculators run entirely in your browser using client-side JavaScript. We do not:

• Store any salary, income, tax, or financial data you enter into our calculators
• Require account creation, login, or email registration
• Collect your name, address, Social Security number, or any personally identifiable financial information
• Sell, rent, or share any personal data with third parties for marketing purposes
• Use tracking cookies to monitor your calculator inputs

2. Technical Data and Analytics

Like most websites, we collect limited technical and usage data to understand site performance, improve compatibility, and measure which pages and tools are being used. This may include page visits, time on site, approximate geography, device type, browser information, and referring website.

SalaryLabs currently uses three analytics-related services for different purposes:

• Cloudflare Web Analytics: Aggregate, privacy-first traffic measurement for site-level performance and visitor trends.
• Cloudflare Zaraz: Tag management and server-side event routing for limited product analytics events.
• Google Analytics 4 (GA4): Limited event analytics, such as calculator usage and result interactions, routed through Zaraz rather than a direct Google tag on the page.

We do not send the salary, tax, filing status, or other financial values you type into calculators to Cloudflare Web Analytics, Zaraz, or GA4. Calculator inputs are processed locally in your browser.

Analytics events are limited to high-level interaction data such as which tool was used, whether a result was generated, whether a copy/share action occurred, a yes/no helpfulness response, and general page-level usage patterns. This data is used in aggregate and is not intended to identify you personally.

3. Google AdSense Application and Future Advertising

SalaryLabs has applied to Google AdSense as a possible future funding source. The site has not been approved, advertising is not currently active, and SalaryLabs does not earn AdSense revenue. The site may include Google's technical integration during the application and review process.

If advertising is approved and activated in the future, Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads, subject to applicable privacy and consent requirements.

• If advertising is activated, Google's advertising technologies may enable Google and its partners to serve or measure ads based on visits to SalaryLabs and other sites.
• You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
• You may also opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting aboutads.info.

4. Cookies

SalaryLabs uses the following types of cookies:

• Functional cookies: We store your theme preference (light/dark mode) in your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device.
• Analytics and measurement: Cloudflare Web Analytics is cookieless. Zaraz and GA4 may process limited measurement data related to site usage and product events, depending on your browser, region, and consent settings where applicable.
• Future advertising cookies: If AdSense advertising is activated, Google may set advertising cookies or use similar technologies under Google's policies and applicable consent requirements.

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Future advertising settings will not affect your ability to use any SalaryLabs calculator.

Before enabling non-essential advertising or analytics technologies in a region where consent is required, SalaryLabs will review and configure appropriate consent controls. Calculator functionality will not be made conditional on accepting advertising measurement.

5. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

• Right to Know: You may request information about the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
• Right to Delete: You may request deletion of personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions.
• Right to Opt-Out: You have the right to opt out of the sale of your personal information. SalaryLabs does not sell personal information.
• Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights.

6. Children's Privacy

SalaryLabs is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

7. Third-Party Links

Our site may contain links to external websites (such as the IRS, BLS, or Department of Labor). These sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their content or practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any site you visit.

8. Data Security

Since SalaryLabs does not collect or store your financial data, there is no financial data at risk. Our site is served over HTTPS with security headers (X-Frame-Options, X-Content-Type-Options, Referrer-Policy) to protect against common web vulnerabilities.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
