Embed SalaryLabs Calculators on Your Site
14 free paycheck and salary calculators that you can paste into any website — career center pages, university resource hubs, personal finance blogs, HR intranets, course materials, and student guides. Copy the iframe snippet below the calculator, paste it into your CMS, and you're done.
Why embed SalaryLabs?
Built on official US data
Each calculator uses 2026 IRS Rev. Proc. 2025-32 federal brackets, 2026 SSA Contribution and Benefit Base ($184,500 SS wage base), and BLS OEWS wage distributions. Methodology is documented and open.
No signup, no email gate
Paste and publish. Visitors interact with the calculator immediately — no "create an account to see your results" friction that hurts completion rates.
Lightweight and fast
Each embed iframe is under 10 KB compressed, loads lazily, and uses no third-party scripts. Won't slow your page or trigger ad-blocker warnings.
Attribution-friendly
The visible "X Calculator by SalaryLabs" link below each embed is the only requirement. The link goes to the source page (not a paywall) — and it helps us keep the tools free.
Mobile responsive out of the box
Calculators re-layout to single-column on phones and adjust input sizing for touch targets. No media queries needed on your end.
Updates propagate automatically
When 2027 IRS brackets come out, all existing embeds update on their own. You don't need to re-embed or push a new release — we maintain the source.

Embed in your CMS
Pick your platform for step-by-step instructions. If your tool isn't listed, the iframe snippet works anywhere HTML is allowed — paste, publish, done.
WordPress
Used by ~43% of all websites — works on every WP site
- Open the post or page where you want to add the calculator, in your WordPress admin.
- Add a new block and search for "Custom HTML" (Gutenberg editor) — or switch to the "Text" tab if you're using the Classic Editor.
- Paste the iframe snippet from the Copy Code button above into the block.
- Click "Preview" to confirm the calculator renders correctly on desktop and mobile.
- If you need more (or less) vertical space, edit the iframe height attribute — we recommend 520px for most calculators.
- Click "Publish" (or "Update" if the post is already live).
Common gotchas
- Elementor users: drag in the "HTML" widget, not the text widget — the text widget strips iframe tags.
- If your theme or security plugin strips iframe tags, install the free "Insert Headers and Footers" plugin as an alternative.
- WPBakery / Visual Composer users: use the "Raw HTML" element or "Custom HTML" block.
- Avada / Divi users: paste into a "Code" module.
Ghost
Popular with independent publishers and writers
- Open the post editor in your Ghost admin.
- Click the + button to insert a new card, then search for "HTML".
- Paste the iframe snippet into the HTML card.
- Use the Preview toggle to confirm the calculator renders correctly.
- Publish.
Common gotchas
- Ghost's default theme renders iframes at the content width. No extra sizing needed.
- If the embed looks tight on mobile, increase the iframe height attribute by 40–80px.
- Ghost's newsletter digest will link to the post — readers click through to the live embed.
Custom HTML or static site
Astro, Hugo, Jekyll, Next.js, plain HTML — paste directly
- Open your template or content file (for example, src/pages/article.astro in Astro, _layouts/post.html in Jekyll, or app/article/page.tsx in Next.js).
- Paste the iframe snippet at the location where you want the calculator to appear.
- Save the file. If your site has a build step, rebuild.
- Deploy.
Common gotchas
- Astro: paste inside any .astro template file — works the same as raw HTML.
- Next.js (JSX/TSX): wrap the iframe in a div and use dangerouslySetInnerHTML on a server component, or paste directly in JSX.
- Hugo / Jekyll: paste inside a markdown HTML block, or directly into an .html template.
- For MDX or MD files that need iframe support, ensure your markdown processor allows raw HTML (most do by default).
Webflow
Designer-built sites — common for agencies and consultancies
- Open the page in the Webflow Designer.
- Drag an "Embed" component from the Add panel onto your canvas.
- Paste the iframe snippet into the embed code editor.
- Save and publish.
Common gotchas
- Webflow's CMS rich-text fields do not accept raw iframe tags. Use an Embed component in the Designer instead, or enable "Render as HTML" on a custom code embed.
- If the embed looks cut off, add padding-bottom or min-height to the parent container.
- Custom code embeds need to be re-added per page — there's no global embed field.
Substack
Newsletter-first platforms have iframe limits
- Substack does not allow iframe tags inside post bodies — iframes are stripped on save for security reasons.
- Best workaround: link to the full SalaryLabs tool from your post body with a descriptive sentence. Example: "Use the [Take-Home Pay Calculator](https://salarylabs.site/tools/take-home-pay/) to estimate your after-tax pay in seconds."
- If you publish via Substack's web archive, your readers see the link rendered with preview card (auto-generated).
- Alternative: host the calculator on your own domain and link from Substack — many finance writers do this.
Common gotchas
- Use the partner badge image (download from /resources/badge/) inside your Substack post footer to link back to SalaryLabs.
- For paid Substack posts, the iframe limitation also applies — link to the tool page instead.
Email and newsletter (Mailchimp, ConvertKit, Beehiiv)
For email-only distribution — use link, not embed
- Most email clients (Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail) block iframes entirely for security — even if your newsletter platform supports them, readers will see a broken element.
- Best approach: write a one-line summary in your email with a button linking to the live calculator on SalaryLabs. Example: "Estimate your 2026 take-home pay →".
- Use the partner badge image as a small inline image at the bottom of the email (before the unsubscribe link) — gives readers the brand context.
- If you want a richer experience in the email, link to a landing page on your own site that hosts the SalaryLabs iframe.
Common gotchas
- Email-safe image formats only — use the .svg badge files and convert to .png if your email platform requires it.
- Always include the live link as plain text too — image-heavy emails get clipped on mobile.
- Beehiiv and Substack both allow custom landing pages — embed the iframe there instead of inside the email body.
Frequently asked questions
Are SalaryLabs calculators really free to embed?
Yes. All 14 calculator tools are free to embed on any website — career center pages, personal finance blogs, HR resource hubs, university intranet pages. No signup required, no email gate, no hidden fees.
Do I need to credit SalaryLabs?
We ask that you keep the visible attribution link below the embed (already included in our copy-paste snippets). The link reads "X Calculator by SalaryLabs" and points back to the source page — this helps us keep the tools free for everyone.
How current is the tax data?
Tax brackets, standard deductions, FICA wage base, and additional Medicare thresholds are 2026 IRS Rev. Proc. 2025-32 values and 2026 SSA Contribution and Benefit Base. The calculators update annually when new IRS/SSA figures are released.
Can I embed on WordPress / Wix / Squarespace?
Yes. Use the "Custom HTML" block (WordPress), "Embed Code" element (Wix), or "Code Block" (Squarespace). Paste the iframe snippet, save, publish. No JavaScript or plugin required.
Will the embed slow down my page?
Each calculator iframe is under 10 KB compressed (no external JS dependencies, no font loads beyond the global stylesheet your site already uses). The embed loads lazily by default and does not block page render.
Can I customize the iframe height?
Yes. Set the height attribute in the iframe snippet to any value (we recommend 520px for a single tool, or 600px+ if your audience needs extra space for tooltips). The width should stay 100% for responsive layouts.
What about accessibility?
All calculators use semantic HTML form inputs with proper labels, ARIA landmarks, keyboard-navigable focus order, and high-contrast text on background. They meet WCAG 2.1 AA. The iframe snippet includes a title attribute for screen readers.
Can I request a custom calculator for my site?
Maybe. If your audience has a specific need (e.g., a particular industry, a regional tax rule, a union pay scale), reach out via the contact form below. We've shipped custom calculators for a few partner sites at no cost in exchange for attribution.
Want to partner or report an issue?
For partnership inquiries (custom calculators, data partnerships, university career-services collaboration), email [email protected] with "Embed partnership" in the subject line.
For bug reports or accessibility issues with an embed, please include the page URL where the embed lives and a brief description.
